JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Cote Research Lab is seeking a temporary shop assistant to help with Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and metal CNC machining in Washburn Shops.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tasks will include:
- Working closely with graduate research assistants to consult on mechanical design of research components, fixtures, and test samples contributing to advanced research in Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing
- Translating CAD models into CAM files using Esprit CAM software
Using Hass CNC Mills and Lathes to machine metal components
Ideally, a candidate for this role should have a B.S. or greater in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, as well as previous experience with Solidworks CAD, Esprit CAM, and Hass CNC machinery. Industry experience in manufacturing engineering is a plus.
