Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT Basic) responds to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and to transport the patient to a medical facility. Receives calls from the dispatcher and drives the ambulance to address or location given, using the most expeditious route, depending on traffic and weather conditions. The Firefighter/EMT-B must observe traffic ordinances and regulations concerning emergency vehicle operation.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED National Registry Certified One year experience as an EMT Basic CPR Certified Considerations will be given to students who are attending The National Register Class for EMT Basic and can obtain their National Certification within 1 year
Must be a licensed Emergency Medical Technician
