Job Posting Title: Development Associate
Job Description Summary: The Development Associate will provide proactive and critical support by advancing E3's fundraising and donor relations efforts through database administration, grants management, project coordination, and administrative functions. This role will be instrumental in helping the Development Team and other departments streamline data processes and functions that lead to better donor and constituent management, internal and external communications, and strategic decision making for organizational advancement.

Job Overview
E3 Alliance seeks a Development Associate to join our passionate and driven Development team. This position will provide proactive and critical support by advancing E3's fundraising and donor relations efforts through database administration, grants management, project coordination, and administrative functions. This role will be instrumental in helping the Development Team and other departments streamline data processes and functions that lead to better donor and constituent management, internal and external communications, and strategic decision making for organizational advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Donor Database and Grants Administration (Approximately 75% of time)
- Responsible for overseeing and building Donor/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database structure to provide a seamless system for users to: coordinate and enter data for donor records, track donations and process gifts, update donor rolls and prospect lists, & track performance and manage event data.
- Ensures all development data is accurate, up-to-date, and timely utilizing CRM's workflow automation, task management, and integration functions
- Responsible for providing training and development for new and existing users of CRM to insure integration and usability of database for efficiency and effectiveness
- Facilitates database planning, coordination, and migration efforts to maximize staff utilization and strategic functions
- Assists with administration of grant proposals and management of grant documents (philanthropic and governmental) through the grant lifecycle, including entering information into the donor management system and on staff calendars to ensure visibility.
- Collaborates closely with Development Manager, Sr. Director of Communications, Executive Assistant, and Accountant to ensure accurate tracking of pledges.
- Research donors and prospects to provide donor profiles, corporate performance reports, and other intelligence-gathering information in donor database.
- Provides data support for the moves management of current and prospective donors in cultivation and stewardship cycle.
Administrative Support (Approximately 25% of the time)
- Provides administrative support to Development Team:
- schedules team, staff & external partner meetings
- makes room & venue reservations for meetings & events
- prepares meeting agendas and information packets
- communicates with the ACC duplication office for prints
- purchases & organizes team supplies
- takes & distributes minutes
- Follows established processes for maintaining files, logs, and other tracking systems for a variety of donor information, projects, and events.
- Makes travel arrangements for out-of-town Development staff travel.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's, Associate Degree or two years equivalent professional experience in a development position and/or database administration.
Experience
- Two years of professional experience with Donor/Customer Relationship Management databases, including data entry, report generation, and file integration.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; OneDrive; and Google Drive.
- Experience using communications via digital platforms (e-news, social media).
Qualifications
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong collaboration skills, with an appreciation for direct oversight, regular feedback, and active support from a manager.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using DonorPerfect CRM.
- Work experience with understanding the grant development and management process, and grant reporting functions.
- Demonstrated experience with event planning.
- Experience working in a school, school district, or college/university.
- Demonstrated interest and experience improving educational outcomes for students.
- Passionate about advancing equity in education and supporting students
Compensation and Benefits
E3 Alliance is supported by founding partner Austin Community College District (ACC), and through this partnership utilizes ACC payroll and human resource systems. Through ACC, E3 Alliance staff have access to ACC compensation and benefits systems, including generous vacation and sick leave, insurance, and other benefits.
Salary Range: $54,000-$64,000
- Salary based on experience and expertise.
- Health care and dental insurance, TRS retirement benefits, disability insurance, and other standard ACC benefits.
- E3 Alliance is unable to support candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.
- This position is grant-funded but does not have a defined timeframe and is intended to be a full-time, ongoing position.
