The Department of Comparative Pathobiology provides an environment that fosters and supports biomedical research with a focus on federally and privately funded projects. The present position is supported by a research contract awarded to Dr. Byrnes from Cognesy Therapeutics. Dr. Byrnes will supervise the activities of the newly hired research technician.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual for a 1 year research assistant position beginning immediately. This individual will be responsible for data collection and management for studies involving primary cell culture and molecular neuroscience endpoints. Other responsibilities will include general lab maintenance, including inventory control and some animal work with rats. Opportunities for professional development related to scientific writing and presentation may be available. Weekend work will be required.
