The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate College
Independently manage a broad range of business and administrative affairs. The primary responsibilities include providing leadership and administrative support in the areas personnel administration, payroll, planning and organization of the unit needs, and management of financial resources. In addition, serve as the Executive Assistant to the Dean as the principle personal administrative support and perform a variety of detailed-oriented functions.
Independently manage the day-to-day work flow of the dean’s office; coordinate activities; public contact with internal and external constituents; budget; discretion & judgment in handling confidential matters; coordinate meetings; special projects and events; and leadership. The Executive Assistant will also lead the daily function of determining eligibility for graduate assistantships, verify graduate teacher assistant credentials, manage budget funding for graduate assistants, fellowships, tuition awards, scholarships and student research funding for all graduate students. This position will serve as the Graduate College’s liaison between university administrators, academic departments, EHRA, Salary Administration, Student Financial Aid, and Office of the Registrar.
