Overview

The Feed the Future Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab (FSN-IL) at Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University is implementing studies focused on assessing knowledge and responsibilities in relation to the MSNP (Multi-sectoral Nutrition Plan) III and the commitments made by the Government of Nepal at the Nutrition 4 Growth (N4G) Summit and the United Nations Food Systems Summit in 2021. In addition, FSN-IL will implement a food systems transformation monitoring tool in conjunction with the nutrition governance study to assess and compare the extent of implementation of policies on food environments by national and provincial governments against international best practices and to identify the major implementation gaps in Nepal.


What You'll Do

This is a grant funded and one year limited term position.

 

The Data Analyst will advise and support the data collection efforts for the study surveys and assessment to ensure consistency and rigor, and will be responsible for downloading secondary data, monitoring the quality of data collected, and supporting the project in the development and implementation of a robust data analysis plan. The Analyst will revise, analyze, and maintain data reports and prepare management and statistical summaries and reports. The Analyst also will design and set up databases for data coding and entry, gather and manage data, conduct statistical analysis, and provide interpretation of results to support research findings or business decisions.


What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Knowledge and skills as typically acquired by a graduate degree in statistics, epidemiology, economics, data science, or related quantitative field and 1-3 years related experience
  • High degree of proficiency in data analysis software such as STATA (the team primarily uses STATA), R, Nvivo
  • Basic SAS/SPSS programming and data manipulation skills, experience creating data entry screens, verification, and documentation
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, math and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large quantitative and qualitative datasets, especially on nutrition and food systems policy studies is an advantage


Pay Range

Minimum $52,600.00, Midpoint $65,750.00, Maximum $78,900.00
 

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
