As the Trades Specialist (Upholstery), your responsibilities include:
  • Repair, strip and stain furniture
  • Maintain inventory
  • Replace furniture slip covers
  • Evaluate amount of work required for projects
  • Make recommendations for repairs/replacement
  • Arrange and secure springs, padding, and covering materials to frames.
  • Make patterns, lay outs, cuts, and sews covering materials.
  • Apply additional decorative treatments as needed.

Our team recognizes the advantages diverse perspectives and backgrounds bring to the workplace. We are particularly interested in candidates who share this value and will work to achieve the university’s goals of inclusive excellence.
