The Staff Psychologist, Counseling Services is a University counseling center based position. Must be a generalist with specific interest & experience in providing counseling to international college students who are experiencing personal and academic concerns.
General responsibilities include:
Diagnosis and treatment of academic, vocational, emotional, personal, social, professional, and peer relationship problems and serve as part of crisis intervention team.
Provide instruction, training, and supervision to graduate students, interns, and other staff members;
Provide consultation and training to University faculty, staff, and students;
Organize outreach activities, such as workshops, seminars on mental health topics.

Completion of all coursework in a doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Completion of an APA accredited internship program by the start of position.
Completion of all doctoral degree requirements in counseling or clinical
psychology within 6 months of start date required.
Licensed as a psychologist in NYS or license eligible within 1 year of hire.
At least one year of university counseling center experience.
Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Middle Eastern or South Asian languages is highly desirable.
Significant experience working with individuals with persistent mental illness.
